Man gets mugged dressed up as Obi-Wan

Muggers steal Master Replica FX lightsaber from a man dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The new decade got off to a bad start for the victim, who was dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi, when he was attacked by four youths while making his way home from a New Year's Eve fancy dress party.

The 37-year-old accounts manager was grabbed as he trekked home from the Brudenell Social Club along Queens Road, Hyde Park, Leeds, between 1.30am and 2am on New Year's Day.

You only get to see a small part of the training Luke Skywalker underwent through Master Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back. In the part you didn't see, Luke is given the task of recovering an object which is guarded by the dragonsnakes of Dagobah in this 80-page comic written by Tom Taylor called Star Wars Adventures: Luke Skywalker and the Treasure of the Dragonsnakes.

This comic is due for release on Jan. 20, 2010.

'Knights of the Republic' issue # 49 to be released

In an announcement by, Knights of the Republic issue # 49, "Demon" is due for release on January 20, 2010. Written by John Jackson Miller, this 40 page comic captures the adventures of former Padawan Zayne Carrick as he tries to rescue Jarael, his traveling companion.

Haiti in need of dire help after 7.0 magnitude earthquake

Images of the ruins and dead are all over the news since the 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the already impoverished country of Haiti. The death toll continues to rise as rescue teams are sent out to the disaster zone. The American Red Cross has reported that more than three million people are in need of relief aid and those who survive are at risk of dying due to lack of water and sanitation.

Buildings are collapsed with some people buried alive. Families have been separated and don't know if their loved ones have survived or not. Rescue teams have already arrived on location and are doing their best to assist the injured and provide supplies.

Back near the entrance of the Ipo’s cavern, the Jedi and clones had set up camp and were resting from the day’s excitement. Gabrall, Mathan, and Gadina were resting near a small fire and were conversing with each other about what do next with their situation. As they spoke, P24 rolled up next to Gadina and gently nudged her in the back.

“Hey P24. What’s up?” she asked the small droid. P24 whistled quietly and then turned his dome in the direction of a large hill. There atop the hill was Melandi. She stood alone as she stared out into the distance towards the remains of Dastra.
