Prominent Star Wars author, John Jackson Miller, introduces Star Wars: Knight Errant arriving on shelves this fall, according to a Dark Horse press release.
A novel will accompany the comic-series with the same characters and is set in the same time period.
The series takes place one thousand years before Episode I place during the "Dark Age of the Republic" when the Sith were in a position of power and the Republic displaced. This period of time hasn't been explored until now.
According to the press release, Miller says the Sith Lords wouldn't just be in conflict with the Republic, but also amongst each other. This is a wide-open area to explore. The main character is Jedi Kerra Holt who finds out her role in the galaxy is far more important than she could ever imagine.
Miller added, "Kerra's going to find that good intentions just may not be enough in a galaxy gone mad!"
Comic-series editor Dave Marshall added, "With John writing both the comics and the novel, Knight Errant will be a Star Wars story on a scale we've never undertaken before. This will be a first-of-its-kind opportunity to introduce the Expanded Universe of the Dark Horse comics to the fans of the Del Rey novels and vice versa!”
We will keep you updated when when more information and official previews are released.

The Star Wars franchise is taking its first hyperspace jump into the realm of horror with the release of the Star Wars: Death Troopers. The new book by acclaimed author, Joe Schreiber, takes the galaxy to a new level when the crew of the
Purge discover a lost Star Destroyer in the middle of nowhere. Upon boarding, they find no one. . . alive.
Currently, Suvudu.com is hosting a contest to create the a trailer for the new novel. I've seen them and one is really good. More information on the book and to see the final five entrants in the contest can be found
here.
I'm sure that this new book filled with horror and zombie stormtroopers is sure to be a hit amongst Star Wars and zombie fans alike.

Every Star Wars fan with an iPhone should be thanking Dark Horse and THQ for creating new apps that allow us to download Star Wars comics and read them EVERYWHERE we go.
Now when I'm in class, I don't have to listen to my boring professor lecture about single celled organisms. I can now join the adventures of Cade Skywalker as he battles the Sith in the far futures of the Star Wars galaxy. Or I can go into the now and see Anakin fight off dastardly villains in the Clone Wars.
They only have a few online, but there will for sure be many more to come. And with only a $1.00 price tag on the comics, its a great deal!!
It just keeps getting better and better for people like us. :D
